Plankton Sampling and Promotions

While the acoustic and seabird teams have been busy, weather has hampered our visual surveying efforts, so there is not much to report on marine mammal sightings.  Presently, we are on the southern flank of Georges Bank.  The weather forecast looks good for Monday and Tuesday, so we hope to complete the Georges Bank shelf-break lines.  This will put us into Canadian EEZ waters on Tuesday morning.

We’re also busy with plankton sampling.  Here’s a jar full of zooplankton – note the jellyfish!
